Central Citrus Little League has implemented the following Player Behavior Agreement and Parent Code of Conduct for the important message it holds about the proper role of league staff, coaches, players, parents, and guests in supporting our league. Parents and participants must read and understand the following prior to any involvement in our league.
Any participant guilty of improper conduct at any game, practice, or league event will be asked to leave the sports facility / property and be suspended from the following game. Repeat violations may cause a multiple game suspension, or the season forfeiture of the privilege of attending all games.
The essential elements of character-building and ethics in sports are embodied in the concept of sportsmanship and six core principles:
1. Trustworthiness
2. Respect
3. Responsibility
4. Fairness
5. Caring
6. Good Citizenship
The highest potential of sports is achieved when competition reflects these “six pillars of character.”
Players and Parents must recognize the commitment that is included while participating in CCLL programs:
- I understand that participation on a team is a privilege to be earned.
- I will always strive to improve my skills and improve the team.
- I will always work to represent myself and CCLL in a positive manner.
- I understand that honor, integrity, and good sportsmanship are keys to my success.
- I understand that alcohol, tobacco, or drugs are harmful to my body and will limit my improvement and that of the team.
- As a minor, I understand that the above substances are illegal for my use under FL law.
- I understand that if I do not represent myself or the program in a positive way, the CCLL Board will have the authority to suspend or remove me from team involvement.
- I understand that the CCLL Board has the right to combine offenses if deemed necessary due to an infraction that requires additional discipline. For example, if a player gets ejected from a game and does not follow proper guidelines, these may be considered both a first and second offense. Each situation will be addressed accordingly.
VIOLATIONS
First Offense - Suspension from two athletic contests
Second Offense - Suspension from four contests or removal from team for that season and counseling
Third Offense - One year suspension from athletics
Fourth offense - Removal from all athletics at CCLL
All penalties will begin with the first athletic event following the violation. For example: if a player who has a violation at the end of the season, the suspension would begin or carry over to the first two athletic contests in the next season they register for.
